DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN LIMA

Welcome to Lima: The Gateway to Peru. Upon arrival in Lima, Peru’s vibrant capital, we arrange your airport transfer to a comfortable hotel in Miraflores, located just 45 minutes to an hour away. This modern district offers proximity to the Pacific Ocean for a refreshing ambiance. At 6:00 p.m., meet your travel companions and tour group at the hotel. Get a detailed briefing on the journey ahead while mingling with fellow travelers. Conclude the evening with a group dinner, savoring authentic Peruvian cuisine and a Pisco Sour, Peru’s iconic drink.

DAY 2: LIMA - HUACACHINA

Discover ICA and Huacachina: A Day of Coastal Beauty and Adventure. Begin the morning with a van ride to the Cruz del Sur Bus Terminal, where you’ll embark on a 4.5-hour journey along Peru’s stunning coastline to ICA city. Upon arrival, visit local wineries to savor exquisite wine and Pisco Sour tastings, accompanied by a delightful lunch. Later, head to the enchanting Huacachina Oasis for an unforgettable experience. DAY 3: PARACAS - LIMA

DAY 4: LIMA-PUERTO MALDONADO-TAMBOPATA AMAZON

Journey into the Peruvian Amazon: A Day of Adventure. Start your day early as you fly to the heart of the Peruvian Amazon, with a 1-hour, 40-minute flight to Puerto Maldonado. Upon arrival, leave your main luggage at the office and pack essentials for your 3-day jungle stay. Enjoy a traditional Amazon-style packed lunch before embarking on a 40-minute bus ride to the boat dock. From there, a 2-hour boat journey deep into the jungle leads you to the lodge. After settling in, venture into the rainforest on a thrilling night walk to spot wildlife in its natural habitat.

DAY 6: TAMBOPATA – PUERTO MALDONADO – CUSCO

From the Amazon to the Andes: Journey to Cusco. In the morning, we bid farewell to the Amazon, retracing our steps back to Puerto Maldonado. After collecting our luggage, we head to the airport for a 40-minute flight to the breathtaking Andean city of Cusco. Upon arrival, a private transfer takes us to our hotel in just 15 minutes. After settling in, we embark on a relaxed orientation walk to explore this high-altitude city at 3,400 meters. Cusco, a South American highlight, offers time to unwind and acclimatize before more adventures.

DAY 7: CUSCO – SACSAYHUAMAN – QENQO – PUKAPUKARA – TAMBOMACHAY – HOST FAMILY

At 8:30 a.m., we depart Cusco to visit Sacsayhuamán, the region’s largest archaeological site, renowned for its massive stones weighing up to 130 tons and offering stunning views of the city. Next, we explore Qenqo, home to the Temple of Mother Earth (Pachamama), followed by Pukapukara, an ancient Inca checkpoint with sweeping valley views. We finish at Tambomachay, a site known for its intricate water purification system and spiritual significance.

For lunch, we immerse ourselves in Peruvian culture with a local family in the village of Ccaccaccollo, enjoying an authentic meal and experiencing the daily life of the community. This overnight stay allows you to participate in local activities, relax amidst nature, and soak in the peaceful atmosphere. DAY 8: HOMESTAY COMMUNITY – SACRED VALLEY – PISAC – URUBAMBA (MEDITATION & YOGA & TIME TO RELAX)

DAY 9: URUBAMBA – OLLANTAYTAMBO (MEDITATION & YOGA)

Exploring the Sacred Valley: Day Two Highlights. On our second day in the enchanting Sacred Valley of the Incas, we visit the breathtaking archaeological site of Ollantaytambo, one of the region’s most spectacular highlights. Afterward, we explore the charming town, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, and take time to relax and soak in the town’s atmosphere. To end the day on a peaceful note, we unwind with soothing yoga and meditation sessions, allowing us to recharge amidst the tranquil surroundings of the valley.

DAY 10: OLLANTAYTAMBO – INCA TRAIL – MACHUPICCHU – CITY OF AGUAS CALIENTES

A Day Hike Along the Iconic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. After an early breakfast, we set out for Ollantaytambo train station, embarking on a scenic 1.5-hour train ride to kilometer 104, the starting point of our journey. Upon arrival, we step off the train in the middle of the tracks, ready to tackle a 12-kilometer hike along the historic Inca Trail, lasting approximately six hours.

The adventure begins with a steady climb that gradually reveals the rich Andean landscapes. Our first stop is the Chachabamba archaeological site, situated at 2,170 m (7,170 ft). This significant Inca site was believed to serve as a ceremonial and agricultural hub. Continuing along the trail, we pass a stunning waterfall, a refreshing natural feature that energizes our group as we take short breaks and savor our packed picnic lunches amidst serene surroundings.

From here, we ascend toward the breathtaking Inca site of Wiñay Wayna, whose name means “Forever Young” in Quechua. At this point, the panoramic views of the Sacred Valley are truly remarkable, and the positive energy of this site makes it a memorable highlight of the trek. After exploring Wiñay Wayna, we continue for another two hours along a trail that features gentle ascents and descents.

Finally, we arrive at the Sun Gate (Intipunku), where a spectacular first view of Machu Picchu awaits. The sight of the ancient city set against the dramatic backdrop of the Andes is unforgettable. This iconic vantage point offers incredible photo opportunities and a glimpse of what lies ahead.

After soaking in the vistas, we hike approximately 45 minutes downhill to the entrance of Machu Picchu Sanctuary, where we take the opportunity to capture the classic photos from a hill overlooking the site. While we do not fully explore Machu Picchu today, the excitement builds for our guided tour scheduled for the next day.

From here, a short bus ride takes us to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we check into our accommodations and rest for the night, ready for the unforgettable experience of exploring Machu Picchu the following day.

DAY 11: MACHU PICCHU – CITY OF AGUAS CALIENTES – OLLANTAYTAMBO.

Experience the Magic of Machu Picchu at Sunrise. After an early breakfast at the hotel, we take a short walk to the bus station at approximately 7 a.m. The bus ride to Machu Picchu offers breathtaking views, including a spectacular sunrise along the winding roads. Upon arrival at the sacred city, we embark on a two-hour guided tour to explore the fascinating Inca ruins and learn about their historical significance.

For adventure enthusiasts, an optional climb to Huayna Picchu is available at an additional cost. This thrilling hike, starting at 7 a.m. and lasting until 10 a.m., offers panoramic views but excludes a guided Machu Picchu tour. Discuss this option with your guide for arrangements.

After exploring, we return to Aguas Calientes for a leisurely lunch (not included) and some free time before boarding the expedition train back to Ollantaytambo. The scenic journey through the Sacred Valley leads to a short walk to our cozy hotel, where we unwind after an unforgettable day.

DAY 12: OLLANTAYTAMBO – MARAS – SALT MINES OF MORAY – CHINCHERO CUSCO

After spending another night in the town of Ollantaytambo, we take private transportation back to the city of Cusco. On the way we will visit other attractions in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The first attraction will be Moray, the archaeological site with the most rounded shape and the unique Inca terraces. The second highlight of the day will be the salt mines. On the way we will occasionally stop at the most beautiful views of the valley. At around 4pm we will be back in the city of Cusco, where we will have free time to relax or explore more of the city of Cusco.

DAY 13: FULL DAY RAINBOW MOUNTAIN TOUR

An Unforgettable Day at the Rainbow Mountains. After a hearty breakfast, we begin our exciting hike to the Rainbow Mountains at 6:00 am, avoiding crowds for a peaceful experience at the summit. Our private transport takes us on a three-hour drive to Llaqto, where the hike starts. Led by a local guide, we will hike for 2.5 hours through stunning Andean landscapes, spotting llamas and alpacas. Our guide will share insights into the mountain’s history, ecosystem, and the minerals creating its vibrant colors.

For those seeking a longer trek, there’s the option to extend the hike to the Red Valley (an additional 30 minutes) for a modest fee of 20 soles. This otherworldly terrain, with its iron-rich soil, contrasts beautifully with the lush green hills. Afterward, we head to Cusipata for a delicious lunch (included), followed by a return to Cusco by private transport.

The tour offers plenty of photo opportunities to capture the stunning scenery for your personal memories or social media posts. In the evening, we conclude the day with a delightful dinner in a local Peruvian restaurant in Cusco.

DAY 14: CUSCO – CITY TOUR AND FREE TIME

Sleep in today, as our tour starts later at 1:00 p.m. Begin your afternoon by visiting the Coricancha Inca Temple, the ancient heart of Incan spirituality. From here, stroll through the main square of Cusco, one of the most beautiful squares in Peru, and admire the charming Twelve Angles Street. Don’t miss the bustling San Pedro Market, where the spirit of the city comes alive. This tour ends around 5pm. Later we will share a last dinner in Cusco in a Peruvian restaurant.

Day 15 – CUSCO – TITICACA LAKE

A Scenic Journey to Puno – Crossing the Andes. After a hearty breakfast, we head to the TRANZELA or CRUZ DEL SUR bus station to begin our 7-hour scenic journey. This breathtaking ride takes us through a picturesque valley surrounded by snow-capped peaks, climbing to an altitude of 4,300 meters. The constantly changing landscapes offer stunning views of the Andean highlands.

By the afternoon, we arrive in Puno, where we check into our hotel. The rest of the day is perfect for relaxing, recovering from the journey, or exploring the charming city of Puno at your own pace.

Day 16 – TITICACA LAKE- FLOATING ISLAND URUS - ISLAND TAKILA

Discover the Wonders of Lake Titicaca. Today, we embark on an unforgettable journey to explore Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, shared by Peru and Bolivia. After a morning pick-up from the hotel, we head to the boat dock to begin our adventure.

Cruising across the stunning lake, we visit the floating islands of the Uros, where we immerse ourselves in the unique culture and traditions of the indigenous people. Then, we travel to Taquile Island, one of the largest islands on the lake, for a delicious lunch surrounded by breathtaking views.

After a full day of exploration, we return to our hotel in Puno to spend our final night at an altitude of 3,800 meters.

Day 17 – PUNO - LIMA

Explore Puno & Fly to Lima. Spend a relaxing morning exploring the vibrant city of Puno at your own pace. Afterward, we embark on a scenic 1-hour drive to Juliaca Airport, where we catch our flight to Lima. We bid farewell to the high-altitude landscapes and descend back to sea level. Upon arrival in Lima, a private transfer will take us directly to our hotel, where we can unwind after a day of travel and preparation for the next exciting adventure!
