DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN LIMA

Welcome to Lima, the vibrant capital of Peru! Upon arrival, our organized airport transfer will take you to your hotel in the modern district of Miraflores, just a 45-minute to 1-hour ride away. Enjoy the proximity to the Pacific Ocean for a refreshing start to your journey.

At 6:00 p.m., meet your travel companions and tour group at the hotel for a briefing with essential travel information. Conclude your evening with a group dinner, savoring delicious Peruvian cuisine and perhaps a Pisco Sour, Peru’s iconic national drink.

DAY 2: LIMA - HUACACHINA

Start your day with a scenic van ride to the Cruz del Sur bus terminal. The 4.5-hour bus journey takes you along Peru’s stunning coastline to the city of Ica. Upon arrival, visit local wineries to sample Peru’s finest wines and the iconic Pisco Sour, with time to enjoy lunch on-site.

In the afternoon, head to the enchanting Huacachina Oasis, where you’ll have the option to try sandboarding and witness a breathtaking sunset over the dunes. Overnight at Huacachina completes this memorable day.

DAY 3: PARACAS - LIMA

DAY 4: LIMA-PUERTO MALDONADO-TAMBOPATA AMAZON

Begin the day with a flight from Lima to Puerto Maldonado, where you’ll prepare for your adventure by packing essentials and enjoying a light picnic. A scenic 40-minute bus ride leads to the dock, followed by a breathtaking 2-hour boat ride deep into the Amazon jungle to reach your eco-lodge.

Relax upon arrival before setting out on an exciting night walk, discovering the diverse wildlife and mysterious sounds of the Amazon rainforest. A truly immersive experience awaits!

DAY 5: FULL DAY IN THE TAMBOPATA AMAZON

Begin your early morning Amazon adventure with a visit to Lake Oxfo, home to piranhas and diverse fish species. Along the way, spot Amazonian wildlife such as toucans, monkeys, and caimans. After a relaxing lunch, enjoy optional activities like exploring a local Amazon farm, learning about agriculture and native spices. In the evening, embark on a thrilling boat ride to discover nocturnal caimans, deepening your connection with the Amazon rainforest.

DAY 6: TAMBOPATA – PUERTO MALDONADO – CUSCO

After departing from the Amazon, we retrace our steps back to Puerto Maldonado. From there, take a scenic 40-minute flight to the stunning Andean city of Cusco. Upon arrival, a private transfer will take you to your hotel in just 15 minutes. Get acquainted with the city during a relaxed orientation walk through Cusco, situated at an altitude of 3,400 meters. Spend the rest of the day acclimatizing and resting in preparation for your unforgettable Cusco adventure.

DAY 7: CUSCO – SACSAYHUAMAN – QENQO – PUKAPUKARA – TAMBOMACHAY – HOST FAMILY

Start your day at 8:30 a.m., departing from Cusco to explore Sacsayhuamán, a breathtaking Inca site with megalithic stones weighing up to 130 tons. Enjoy panoramic views of the city before continuing to Qenqo, home to the Temple of Pachamama, a sacred space honoring Mother Earth.

DAY 8: HOMESTAY COMMUNITY – SACRED VALLEY – PISAC – URUBAMBA (MEDITATION & YOGA & TIME TO RELAX)

DAY 9: URUBAMBA – OLLANTAYTAMBO (MEDITATION & YOGA)

On the second day of our journey in the breathtaking Sacred Valley of the Incas, we’ll explore Urubamba and travel to Ollantaytambo. This archaeological site is among the most impressive in the valley, showcasing Inca engineering at its best.

After marveling at the site, enjoy the charm of Ollantaytambo town with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, followed by free time to relax and wander its cobblestone streets.

The day concludes with yoga and meditation, allowing you to unwind amidst stunning Andean landscapes.

DAY 10: OLLANTAYTAMBO – INCA TRAIL – MACHUPICCHU – CITY OF AGUAS CALIENTES

Our day begins with an early breakfast, followed by a short journey to Ollantaytambo train station. Here, we’ll board a train bound for kilometer 104, a remote stop where our exciting 12-kilometer Inca Trail hike begins. The train ride itself, lasting about 1.5 hours, offers stunning views of the Sacred Valley.

At Chachabamba (2,170 m/7,170 ft), we’ll start our ascent. This route, while uphill at times, is manageable for travelers with a moderate fitness level. Regular breaks allow us to soak in the natural beauty and history of the trail. We’ll stop for a refreshing picnic lunch by a serene waterfall before continuing toward one of the most beautiful Inca ruins along the trail: Wiñay Wayna, meaning “Forever Young.” This site, surrounded by lush greenery and terraces, radiates tranquility and awe-inspiring views of the Sacred Valley.

After exploring Wiñay Wayna, we’ll embark on the final leg of our journey, a mix of ascents and descents, leading to the legendary Sun Gate (Intipunku). As we arrive, the first panoramic view of Machu Picchu reveals itself—a truly unforgettable moment. We’ll take some time to capture photos and absorb the majestic scenery before descending to the entrance of the Inca sanctuary.

Though we won’t explore Machu Picchu fully today, this hike sets the tone for tomorrow’s deeper exploration. After the hike, we’ll board a bus to Aguas Calientes Town, where comfortable accommodations and a well-deserved rest await. This vibrant town nestled in the Andean foothills will be our base for the night, giving you time to reflect on the incredible journey of the day.

DAY 11: MACHU PICCHU – CITY OF AGUAS CALIENTES – OLLANTAYTAMBO.

Start your day with an early breakfast before heading to the bus station, just a short 10-minute walk from your hotel. At around 7 a.m., we embark on a scenic drive up to Machu Picchu, witnessing the breathtaking sunrise over the Andes along the way.

Upon arrival, enjoy a two-hour guided tour of this awe-inspiring Inca city, delving into its history, architecture, and spiritual significance. For the adventurous, an optional Huayna Picchu climb is available (additional cost), offering unparalleled panoramic views. Note that entrance is limited and should be arranged in advance.

After exploring, return to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included). In the afternoon, we board the expedition train, enjoying a scenic ride back to Ollantaytambo, where a short walk leads to your hotel. This marks the perfect end to an unforgettable journey through one of the world’s most iconic landmarks.

DAY 12: OLLANTAYTAMBO – MARAS – SALT MINES OF MORAY – CHINCHERO CUSCO

After a restful night in Ollantaytambo, we embark on a scenic journey back to Cusco with private transportation. Along the way, we explore the fascinating Moray archaeological site, renowned for its unique circular Inca terraces. Our next stop is the stunning Maras Salt Mines, a breathtaking sight of terraced salt pools cascading down the hillside.

We also pause at picturesque viewpoints, capturing the beauty of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. By 4 p.m., we arrive in Cusco, where you’ll enjoy free time to relax or further explore this vibrant city.

DAY 13: FULL DAY RAINBOW MOUNTAIN TOUR

Today promises an exciting and colorful adventure as we embark on a hike to the stunning Rainbow Mountains. After an early breakfast, we leave at 6:00 a.m. to avoid the crowds, ensuring a peaceful summit experience.

A scenic three-hour ride takes us to the trailhead at Llaqto, where a local hiking guide will lead us through a 2.5-hour journey to the Rainbow Mountain viewpoint. Along the way, enjoy the breathtaking Andean landscape, spotting llamas and alpacas, and learn about the mountain’s history, vibrant colors, and unique minerals.

For those looking for more adventure, an optional 30-minute hike to the Red Valley awaits, where the striking red soil contrasts beautifully with the green grasslands.

After the hike, we’ll return to Cusipata for a delicious lunch, followed by a relaxing ride back to Cusco.

In the evening, unwind with a traditional Peruvian dinner in Cusco, reflecting on your unforgettable day at one of the Andes’ most spectacular sights.
